Grinds with John
I offer Grinds in languages such as Irish and French at both a Junior and Leaving Certificate Level. My goal as a teacher in the coming future is to best prepare students with their use of language for their own studying and State Examinations. I want to help students in all departments of using a new language such as speaking, writing, reading and social interaction.
Elements of JM Grinds and Notes
Irish
I am a fluent Irish speaker myself and enjoy speaking and conversing through Irish every single day. It is a privilege to hold this language close to my heart and to be able to use it. It is one of my aims to teach Irish to people who are determined to learn it.
French
I am currently studying French in college. I thoroughly enjoyed studying French during my time in school and wish to study in France someday. Learning the language may be difficult but I like the idea of challenging myself to learning the language. It is a great benefit to be able to speak and teach it!
Study Notes
As well as providing language grinds, I wish to share any useful notes that may help students in their studies. Notes to help with grammar or literature in the languages. My notes are clear, concise and have the ability to aid students in many ways.

My teaching philosophy is centered around empowering students to reach their full potential through encouragement, patience, and personalised attention. I strive to create a safe space where students feel motivated to learn, ask questions, and explore new concepts without fear of judgment. I also aim to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning languages in each student I work with.
