Here at JM Grinds and Notes, it is my job to provide effective and efficient lessons through Irish and French. Whilst creating a positive teaching environment, building chemistry with students and helping them with their struggles as best as I can.
My Story
I began giving grinds through Irish in 2022 around the area and starting to enjoy it more and more each session I did. This motivated me to try giving more grinds around the area to help people as best as I can. Last year when I graduated and completed my Leaving Certificate, it presented me with the opportunity to progress with my studies to become a Secondary School Teacher through Irish and French. Therefore, I then began to hand out grinds in French to better prepare myself for the world of education. Since last year, both teaching Irish and French has been a privilege to me. I feel honoured to be capable of helping those who struggle with languages in school. Which is why I decided to create and take this business seriously. In order to help as many people as possible in many effective and different ways. I'm always determined to take on new challenges whilst woking with new people and having this business is perfect for that.
Academic Background
Secondary Education
2017-2023
I attended my secondary education in Coláiste Ghlór na Mara in Balbriggan, a full speaking Irish school where I picked up my love and fluency for it. I also completed both my Junior and Leaving Certificate through Irish. The language has given me an amazing opportunity to use it in different working environments.
Dublin City University - Post Primary Teaching
2023 - Present
I am currently attending to my studies in DCU to become a secondary school teacher in the subjects Irish and French. In comparison to secondary school, this course gives me a great opportunity to use these languages in great environments to further improve my learning and development.
